Fresno, CA -A Fresno woman, Robin Smith, died on New Year’s Eve after being stabbed by her date as reported by The Fresno Bee.
Smith, 41, was on a date with a 62-year-old man that she met on Craigslist.
According to the man, the couple arranged a date at the Game Time Pizza Palace on First Street and McKinley Avenue but decided to leave for another restaurant near Chestnut and Shaw Avenues.
As they were walking to her car, Smith’s boyfriend approached and started to attack the man. Smith joined her husband in the attack, said the unidentified man.
During the attack, the man stabbed Smith in the chest. She was found unresponsive in the shopping center where the Game Time Pizza Palace is located and transported to Community Regional Medical Center but died from her injury.
The man told police that he and Smith started to argue over money.
Smith’s family members said that Smith had eight children and was a good mother and friend.
Her boyfriend is wanted for questioning at this time.
Charges have not been filed against the man as of this time and Smith’s death will continue to be investigated.
I do wonder how she got stabbed in the scuffle. Looks like the argument over money was for this “date” that they on. I would say he was being cheap or didn’t like what he saw and was trying to get out of the date.
Either way, thing quickly took a turn for the worst. Drama is always close by.
