Detroit – Two people were shot during a carjacking and robbery on Detroit’s west side as reported by Fox2News.
On Monday night, a couple was walking toward their car when a light colored car pulled up and jack the couple for their car and belongings.
The drama happened on the 15000 block of Strathmoor street around 10:00 p.m. The shooting was so close to neighbor Annie Barnes that it startled her.
When Barnes looked outside to see what noise was, she saw one person on the ground and another person trying to help that person off of the ground.
The victims of the shooting was Barnes 26-year-old nephew and his 25-year-old girlfriend.
Barnes says that “She was on the ground. And he was trying to pick her up. It got me. It scared me. I’m scared.”
Her nephew is at home recovering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder while his girlfriend is still in the hospital recovering from more severe injuries.
The couple was heading out for a Date Night when the carjacking happened. Their silver convertible Mitsubishi Eclipse was stolen and still has not be recovered.
