Detroit – A women is recovering at the hospital after awakening to an intruder.
A 39-year-old women awoke to the sounds of someone trying to get into her house on the east side of Detroit.
A relative interviewed says that the woman was “stabbed, beaten and hit in the head in an attempt to rape”.
The assault happened around 4:15 a.m. Wednesday on Radnor Street near Chandler Park Dr.
A man broke through a window to get inside. He went into her bedroom and tried to rape her. The woman fought back against the attacker only to then get stabbed. The suspect gave up ran away.
The suspect is described as an African-American man between the ages of 17 and 20. He was about 150 pounds, had a mustache and beard and was wearing a red hoodie and blue jeans.
